well all the talk about the new honda 450 with trax-lock had me wondering so i went and talk to the honda place was told 02 450es was $6399.00 + 690.00 4 yr warranty ,would go farm use(no tax)for a total of $7199.00. tried to get more info on if it would be possible to get without thumb shift he said he did'nt know.looked at the selectible gizmo that kicks in and out of 4x4 ,lookes like there is some type of servo motor in the frt diff next to drive shaft also a speed sensor on the frt of the houseing.guess it picks up pulses from the ring gear so there has to be a ecu somewhere.so my conclusion i have no idea. does anybody have a clue about how the 4x4 system works would like to know because this more than likely be my next atv

Pooh get the ES trust me you'll never go back to a foot shift again. full floor boards offer alot more protection for your feet.
Its so nice driving over rocks and logs and never having to worry about your feet. Its your decision, either one is nice but the ES is so much nicer.
