Hey i need some help. I keep on going back and forth on what quad i want to bye. Now it's between the 300ex, 400ex, Warrior.I drove a warrior and it was okay. The only thing i don't like about the 400ex is not having reverse.Whats the top speed on the 300ex? Does it keep up with Warriors? How is it on steep hillclimbs? Will it beat a Mohave in a dragrace? I look foaward to your input? Thanks

Ok here goes. The top speed of the 300ex is around 55mph. It will keep up with arriors in the trails and jumping but the warrior has a higher top speed and will accelerate quicker. They should all be good for steep hill climbs but if you were racing up the hill the 400ex would win no problem. The 300ex will be beaten by a mojave in a dragrace I don't know what a mohave is I am assuming you meant mojave. If you are riding trails , I would get the 300ex , If you are racing or draging then get the 400ex. If you want something inbetween get the warrior. If it were my choice I would get the 400EX it has a top speed of around 64 VS warriors 58. Better handling then the 300ex and warrior , and better suspension. Good luck with whatever you get , Zeebo.

Avoid the Warrior! I rode one for years, and while it was an ok bike back when, it hasn't been updated since it came out a dozen years ago. They are big and klunkey. Their handling doesn't come close to matching the Hondas.
If you are strictly a trail rider, and aren't to large, the 300 has the edge over the 400. If your riding is more mixed (not just trails), or you are on the large side, go with the 400.

I really liked my former 99/300ex. Rode and handled very well on are property. It is not as fast as the warrior(maybe a few mph slower) but in the handling department it runs circles around the warrior. For me the stock suspension did a good job on the 300EX. I would give 300EX a thumbs up. My nephews warrior is alright and has never let him its just the suspension and handling is not up to par with the 300EX. Chet

If money isnt an issue, go for the 400ex, they arent very heavy, so reverse isnt a HUGE deal unless you ride only real real tight trails or something you can usually just push the 400 out of trouble. I would stay away from the warrior, they dont handle nearly as well as the hondas and they are HEAVY if you ask me. However, a warrior top end will out run the 300ex easily.
I would go with the 400, then the 300 then save my money for one of those, I woudlnt get a warrior. Just my opinon, you should buy what you like, not what someone tells you.

Just my opinion I would go with the 400ex. there faster, handle better, and climb steep hills better than the 300ex and warrior. So what if they dont have reverse, there light enough that if you cant push it backwards your a sissy. I ride in tight woods all the time and have reverse on my 250x and i rarely use it. And my cousin can climb anything that someone has been up before. there great for climbing.

I got my 300EX because it had reverse. I could have gotten a 400EX but as much as I need reverse, the 300EX seemed perfect for me, and is perfect for me. I don't believe all this crap about if you have reverse your lazy, if that's true then we are all lazy because we are letting the motor do all the work. I think we should give the motor a break and push ourselves around the trails and dunes or wherever you ride. I personally think that the handlebars are to low on the 400EX and that the gas tank area is to wide, but that's just what I think. If you ride on trails that don't have any straights long enough to use all of your power then get a 300EX. I personally still haven't used all of my power on my 300EX. So I know I would never use all of it on a 400EX. Isn't that what most 400EX rider's say, "Don't get a Raptor you will never use all of the power." Well same thing goes here. As for the Warrior I couldn't tell you I have never ridden one. And the 300EX WILL keep up with the Mojave in a drag race easily. It's not faster but it's not slower either. I should know I have both of them. And actually the 300EX blows down the Mojave when we race. The 300EX is also great on hillclimbs, in fact I did better on it than I did on a Rancher ES 4x4. Top Speed is around 55, it won't keep up with a Warrior because of the 6th gear on Warrior.
