if its new...a full tube of blue lock-tite will save you money on screws and bolts...also take a wire tie to the silenoid by the battery...mine always hops out of the rubber boot

Use more than 4psi in the tires. I have been running 8. It keeps the wimpy Ohtsu meats from rolling over in hard corners.

Check your rear brake pads often. They wear out quickly.

Watch your clutch cable where it goes between your headpipes. I have a Big Gun system and since the bend is different than stock the cable was touching the pipe a melting the rubber. I wire tied it away from the headpipe to the oil lines near the oil tank.

Sorry to keep posting this, but I keep finding more and more of these.

If it's a '00 model, check the throttle adjustment, all the '00 models I have been around and heard about only open the throttle slide and butterfly in the carb about 50~60% from the factory....

Note, this does not seem to apply to the '99 models

Free HP is good...

Buy some aftermarket Handlebars, because the stock bars SUCK! Definately watch the rear brake pads. There isn't much to watch out for that i've seen. Drill 4 1" holes in the air box, and you'll get free HP.
