My friend owns a 85 ATC 250R. After a trip to silver lake this summer, he would like to set it up as a more hardcore drag race only trike. It currently has pretty mean looking port job in the top end that we really know nothing about, FMF pipe and silencer, aftermarket reeds and carb, cool head, and a wiesco pro-lite piston on a fresh bore. We were suprised how competitive it was even compaired to the more modded out machines. There was a guy out there with a 86 250R with a NOS bottle mounted to the back. This trike was seriously fast. I searched the internet for this NOS kit and couldnt find anything but people telling me they did it too...but no one who sells it. Is it fabricate your own or is there a kit?

 

I have previously used nitrous on a trx250r. The kit was bought from Quadynamics which I don't believe is in business anymore. The kit was basically one from a single cylinder or roadbike kit. It used a fogger nozzle, funnel jets, fuel pump and a 2 lb bottle. There is a place called Car Wars in Lansing MI, which sell nitrous parts and fills bottles. There is probably a local shop in Grand Rapids which fills bottles and could get you all the parts necessary.

Alba has NOS kits for quads.

 

There is a place in Douglas, GA called TMR (Tim Mills Racing) that specializes in FAST 250R's. They race at the local track and pretty much take names. They have a 310R that runs in the 250R class and a ATC250R Frame with a ported CR500 race motor on NOS that they run Outlaw with. These guys know 250R's. I don't have a number right off hand but will post later.

hey, have you tried the auto barn, they might have NOS or at least fill NOS bottles. Of course its mainly a car/truck store but NOS is NOS.
