What mods does a 250R needs to be as fast or faster than a banshee with pipes and reeds? Will a good pipe with reeds (or reed cage) do the trick or internals has to be modified? Anyone has any experience?

You will need some good porting, a good pipe, maybe a Boysen rad valve, and a keihin pwk 38 air stryker, and there won't be anything but a big bore banshee that will touch you. I have beat a Banshee with a set of pro circuit pipes.

Is that also the case for a Honda TRX250R? I have talk to some people
with Honda 250R and they told me that they are faster than banshees but
I have not seen them myself so I cannot tell if it is true.

each bike has power, the Shee has hardly any bottom end and alot of top end! The R has lots of power for the bottom to top! so in a quarter mile i'd say a banshee, but 100 yards the R! the banshee's handling isnt even close to an R!
