I want a new machine. I'm really getting bored of my 300ex .. I've pretty much outgrown it skill wise.
I'm think of getting a used 250r because the 400ex is too expensive for me right now.
Ok first off..
Whats diffrent about 2-stroke maintence wise?
How often do i have to re-jet?
I ride my quad alot... So I'm wondering how reliable this quads gonna be.
I do some winter riding ... so what should i do to prepare a 2-stroke for winter riding?
If theres anything i should know just tell me .

kick starts are a pain in the *** in the winter..trust me there were so many times last winter where i wish i had an electric start because i would hate kicking over that damn engine. and your wet boots will make your boots slip off and you'll nail your shin on somethin. your only gonna need to rejet when u add a mod that will let the engine breath better (filter, pipes, ect.) and also its a good idea to change jetting for winter/summer conditions (although i never did). performance wise it'll blow your 300 out of the water..if you think a 400 is fast wait till you get on a 250. most of the nice 250r's i see around here cost about the same as a used 400EX though... if you can get the cash definatley get the R but if you can't check out an LT250 or tecate (those are faster than banshees! FAAAAAAST! but you knew that already didn't you heh heh)
