What were all of the past quads that you owned, and how did they compare to the other quads of their times. What were some of the things you remember best about them? how do they compare to the other quads you have owned?

My first quad was a 300ex. I then felt like, and still do that its the best beginer quad. I liked the way the plastic felt

My next quad was a 87 250x. The engine was modified by Sparks. It was fun to pull up beside other 4-strokes that were made at the time and waste them. I couldnt believe that it wasnt a big bore or stroked. Then the 400ex came out and my 250x couldnt beat them on top. Had lots of trans. problems and had to sell it. Loved the plastic.

My current quad is a Cannondale FX 400. I love it and I dont think Ill ever get rid of it. The best thing about it is the power to weight ratio. To me no other stock quad that ive riden is in the same catagory as the C-Dale. I've never rode a Zillia though. Riding the C-Dale you have to be on your toes and ride hard all the time. This is a + in my book.

First was a 185 Suzuki with NO rear suspension and a pull starter. Very narrow track made it tippy as hell, hit a bump on a sidehill and you became Downhill Racer! Next was a 250 Polaris 4X4, very gutless. Then a '95 Polaris Explorer 400 4X4 with engine braking (aftermarket), quite strong, fast and well suspended. Somewhat unreliable. Then a '93 Polaris 350L, strong, fast and better built than my other Polarises. Still have this one for the wife. '91 Mojave, probably the funnest of all. Had kick start, lacked top end, could wheelie in 3rd with a 4 stroke 250. Unstable due to short wheelbase and narrow track. Several Yammy Big Bear 400s as training machines, sound overall and pretty manueverable for big machines. Some loaner Bear Trackers, probably the best machines for the Rider Course. And the champ, a '98 Foreman 450 S that just got 26" Dirt Devils. Remember the ancient parable: To fully appreciate Honda quality, one must push many heavy, busted Polarises.

I started with an '82 ATC185s, what a great bike, I wish I still had it. Then I got an '84 ATC 250R, I blew that up and got an '85 ATC200X. Then came the '87 YZ250. Now I got a '86 trx250R but I really miss the 185s. It was so simple and light, and talk about wheelies, wow!

the 3 current bikes i have are the best i have ever owned.

all our others are replaced as farm machines..........all had no down falls, just do too much work, it got cheaper in the long run to keep turning them over

MasterOfDisaster SAME HERE !!! It was a LT250R quadracer powerwheels!!! next I had a yamaha zinger love the sound of it !!!Then a TRX350 86' loved the sound because it had a cheery bomb on it instead of the real pipe, But mostly i liked the plow on it I was 7 so i thought plowing was the coolest thing ever because my dad plowed with his truck. Next I had a recon 99' I wanted a 300ex but he said no because he didn't think I could handle it HA! I liked the jumping ability of the recon. Then I got an 87'250X I liked the speed compared to the recon and the wheeliablity, mostly liked jumping it. And now I have a 250R 88' and I love everything about it, well except when it doesn't start !! lol Zeebo.
