Well I WAS waiting to see if Honda was going to make a machine bigger than a 400 for the sport market but they missed the boat!!
I guess I'm going to go put a down payment on a 2002 raptor!!
I should have known honda didn't have the go-nads to do it!! they keep the same old models around for years before they design new ones!! and the dirt bike guys get a new design almost every year!! Whats up with that!!! Now I know the Banshee, Warior ECT. ECT. are the same old design but at least Yamaha had the go-nads to stay alive in the sport market, and they made the sport machine BEFORE the utility machine!!! RAPTOR here i come baby!!

well, I am dissappointed as well, but I expected this. Besides, I do believe the 400EX was around a full two years before the Raptor.

You should take a good look at the Cannondale models. They are light weight with gobs of horsepower. They also rev like a two stroke. I know when I go to get a new sport machine next year that will be exactly what I am looking for. It's too bad the other manufacturers don't see the market for these.

funny that honda makes a rubicon replacement after being out only 1 year, but keeps the 400ex the same in a more competitave area of the sport. I love the ex, but cant stand to see honda bend over and take it in the rear like this!

Honda is by no means taking this in the rear. As long as they're makin money they're happy. The 400EX is selling very good as of now, and the sales are still growing. Honda is making gobs of money regardless of them making us a new sport quad.

Honda's not the one taking it in the rear. I now know what they mean when they say RIDE RED, from the reaming they have been giving you guys since 1989.

look at the number of utility quads they have, then look at the sports, there are way to many, we need more sport quads!!

wasnt there supposed to be a few new atvs coming out this year? who knows maybe the 650ex is still a possibility i mean look at yamaha they took the raptor engine and placed it into the grizz so maybe just maybe honda will have the rincon engine in a sport version
