I own both, my son is 125 pounds lighter than I am and has pretty good riding skills. There is no off the line or top speed chance for the blaster when compared stock-for-stock.

 

I think that your uncle is an idiot to even open his mouth. Not only that, but, if he thinks that by racing on pavement will tear up his motor that is even more stupid. THE 400EX WILL KILL ANY BLASTER ANY DAY!!!! There is no comparison. Yeah, the Blaster is quick off the line, but will get raped by a 400ex any day. Does the Blaster have any low-end torgue like the 400ex? No. It is a 2-stroke, it's torgue is produced at high RPM's. The 400ex has so much low-end torgue that by the time they both get out and up through the gears, the 400ex will already run away and hide because the Blaster doesn't get it's peak horsepower until it is winded out. While the 400ex gets it's peak horsepower more towards the low to mid end and that's when it get's up and flies. Trust me, I own both a 2000 400ex and a 2000 Blaster. I have raced them both. It's not even funny any more. The EX murdured the Blaster every time. If you had a 300ex, that would be a different story. Both the 300ex and the Blaster and for one, in the same class and secondly, top out at about the same speed.

Thanks fourtracker14, if only my uncle could read this he might actually believe me. I dont really like him myself b/c he disagrees with everything you say, and I can't stand that in a person. I know this dude that works on 4-wheelers and my uncle "claimed" that he had him to bore his Blaster like 20 or 30 over. BUT, I caught him in a lie b/c I saw that dude that "supposavily" bored his blaster out at a race and he told me that he aint touched his 4-wheeler!!! So he's lying out the ***. His blaster is bone stock!

 

You need to open a can of whoop *** on that uncle of yours. Are you telling me that you don't have 300 feet where you can race? This is all it would take to prove your point.

 

Generally a 400EX will kick the crap out of a Blaster. But, I have taken second place to a Blaster in a MX race (riding my 400EX). And yes, I am proud of it! He was a very, very good rider!

 

My son has an LT80 Quadsport and he says he can beat a fully modified Banshee. What do you think? They are both two-stroke you know.

 

How old is your little boy? If he is 5 years old, I won't make and jokes about him. If he is 10 years old or more, I think he is legally retarted. Let's see here, let me think for a second, an 80cc kid quad faster then a modded Banshee???? 80cc vs. 350cc twin 2-stroke? By the way, does your son know that every kids quad is governed to never go over 31mph? Does he also know that a modded Banshee is capable of topping out at speeds over 100mph. I don't know you might want to sit down with him and make sure that he knows his math.

ok, modded banshee 100mph, uhh....NO! the cannondale has the most top end out of any quad there is (stock), it only goes 74mph! the banshee MIGHT go 70mph (raptor goes 71mph). There is no way in h*ll a banshee with light motor work will go 100, maybe a 370+ banshee will but no 350 i know of can go over 85! But back to the subject, i have a 250r and 300ex, my friend has a 400ex and other friend has a blaster. i have ridden them all and there is no doubt my 250 will smoke em! badly! the 400 beats the blaster bad! bottom-top the 400 slaughters it! the only reason my 300 beats the blaster (and sometimes 400) is cuz my friends suck at ridin! a stock blaster will beat a stock 300, but not very badly! the 300 is sluggish! but still fun! there has to be at least 150 feet by your house kid!

 

Ummm, he did say "modded" banshee..... Maybe a modded LT80 would do it!!!!

 

A fully modded stock bore Banshee (Total drag port job,modded PRO X pistons,head mod or cool head,bigger carbs,lighten flywheel,advanced timing,hot rod crank,V-Force reeds and CPI inframe pipes) running on race gas will produce around 80 RWHP just put a 15 teeth front sprocket on it and it will easily hit 100 mph.
