Look for an 85-87 250es big red. They have 25" tires, great ground clearance (shaft drive, brake in wheel), super low first gear, electric start, back up kick start, full suspension, detatchable front headlight, etc.. But they tend to go for anywheres from $800 to $2200 in good condition. Very reliable.

I have an '85 250sx that I use for hunting. It's been very reliable and I paid $500 for it a few years ago. Big Reds are hard to come by around here, at least at a reasonable price, because those who own them don't want to get rid of them.
