I bought the wife a 250ex and of course the bank owns half, so I have to have insurance on it. Our insurance carrier (Erie) wants $208 a year. We called Progressive to get another quote and they wanted $420 a year. I think I'm getting a good deal but I want to see what everyone else is paying.

Progressive are a bunch of crooks. I had my Kodiak insured through a local company for $140 a year, but yesterday I received a letter saying that they are no longer insuring ATVs, so I have to find another insurance company.

Gsport500,
$208 sounds about right. I pay around $206 thru State Farm for theft and collision insurance.

Progressive quoted me something like $800 a year for one quad (22 years old)! Then my father got a quote from progressive on the exact same quad for less than $100.

I have two quads and have nothing on my drivers record.

1. 2000 Polaris TrailBoss 325 is $69 a year for Collision and Comp.including $500 in accessories
2. 2001 220 Bayou is $135 a year for Collision and Comp.

The Polaris is now through Markel. It was insured through Program managers for $160 a year.
The 220 Bayou is insured through Rider Point, but after their policy is up I am switching it to Markel also. It will save me about $55 on it.

I priced them through Progressive and the Polaris was $225 a year and the Bayou was 210 a Year.

Try calling Markel and see if you can save some money.
They saved me a lot of money.

Markel American Insurance Company (866)333-2293
