I am curious if anyone knows if this is the last year for the 300ex? If anyone knows let me know.

Thanks
Paul

I had a post a while back about discontinuing the 300. This is what the dealer said they "expected", so treat it as a rumor and not a fact!!! When Honda "discontinues" something, they always keep it around several years before it finally disapears. Take the 300 utility for example, it was around a couple of years after the Rancher came out. So, don't expect the 300EX to disapear from your dealers floor any time soon.

Hmmmmmm....I can't see why they would discontinue it. It seems like they would keep something around to compete with quads like the Warrior and Mojave. Some people just don't want to go out and buy a Raptor or 400ex, and some don't want a 250ex. I'm sure that if they do stop making them it will be replaced by a new and improved quad for that class. Maybe not.

I think Honda would have to be crazy to discontinue it! After riding a 300EX for a week, I love it! I think it is PERFECT for trails. Put a pipe on it, and it will have gobs more power.

P.S. anyone know how to get an 01 300EX's axle nut off? I can't get it off!

lonstarbanshee... same thing happeed to me. Remove the bolts and rear brake caliper from the rear caliper stay. Loosen the axel inner lock nut while holding the outer lock nut. Loosen the outer lock nut until the snap ring can be removed. then remove the snap ring, outer lock nut, lock nut thread and inner lock nut from the axel.

That should work but it did not work for me so i used a torch to help loosen it up and it came right off.
