What aftermarket frame?
#2
As a previous Laegers Pro-Trax owner, I would say that the aftermarket Chassis are worth it. They are lighter, stronger and have more suspension travel. Mine hardly ever bottomed out and was very forgiving when over jumping or coming up short. In 8 years of use I never had a chassis component failure. I do think the cost is a bit pricey, but these are hand crafted in most cases. You wont find aftermarket chassis quality in a factory frame. The welds are impecable, the frame looks more like a work of art. I would recommend Laegers, Roll Design or Walsh Racecraft to those shopping for aftermarket Chassis.

I haven’t heard that about Lonestar frames. Maybe someone else can fill us in? The reason I didn’t recommended LS is because the LS frame is based closer to the stock 250R a-arm configuration, where ROLL, Walsh and Laegers have their own style which allows for greater suspension travel.

I think LSR stoped makeing frames now. Im also lookin for an aftermarket frame for racing. Are those CR style swingarms any better? Isnt WALSH like $6000 for just the frame? I'm probably gona get a used aftermarket frame and try to get it for under $1000 so I can rebuild my R from the ground up! ltracerx has your frame cracked a bunch of times or do you do alot of racing? If not the stock frames are OK. You can get them reinforced if you want for a couple hundered bucks! It makes them ALOT better!

I don't own a TRX250R. When I brought this up I thoght I would be able to build a race ready 250r but circumstances changed. Now I am just looking for a stocker because the racing I will be doing prbably won't require an aftermarket frame for a year or so(local MX)
