Douglas Wheels compared to factory 400ex wheels....?

I am going to order new wheels and tires for my 400ex. Which Douglas label (Black or Red), are equivalent to the weight AND strength of the factory wheels ? I don't do any racing, just lots of woods/trail riding. thanx.....

i dont know if you realy care but you can get some carbonfiber wheels that are 10x stronger than steal and lighter that aluiminum! If you want to check out those go to www.hiper-technology.com.

The stock 400EX rims are going to be stronger than the Douglas .190" rims because of the rolled edge. Something with a rolled edge or reinforcement ring or beadlock will also be stronger than just a plain .190" rim.

Douglas makes a nice set of rims. Ret is probably correct about the factory rims being stronger. The Douglas rims do look nicer tho. One thing to keep in mind - I was told the regular Douglas rims actually have a 1" offset (you have to get a 1" inset for it to be the same width as your stock rims).
