dunedemon your retarded..just shut the hell up. yellow7 may i ask why you need a hitch? if you need a quad for somethin like that maybe you shouldn't have gotten a 400EX although i will admit there have been plenty of times a hitch would have come in handy on mine.

He's new...after a month or two, he either be a regular member, or some idiot who likes to start flames...As for the hitch, I think I may remeber hearing about one that bolts up to the skid plate mounts, but I'm not sure if I'd like to pull anything heavy with holes in an aluminum swingarm.

Putting a hitch on a 400EX is like putting nitros on a Recon.

Yes, you can get a hitch for a 400EX. My brother in law put one on his to pull his jet ski in and out of the lake. I think he got it from James Lucky. I will ask him and make for sure and let you know.

It is a CMP hitch, James Lucky sells them but does not list the 400EX in the catalog, but they may have them now. I think maybe he got if from Shadetree on second thought.

I would have to agree with TRXter, If you wanted to be pulling stuff then you should have got a utility. And REX, im going to laugh when your brother in law has to go have a new clutch and gears put in. You can ask anybody, call a dealer, ask them if you can get a hitch put on a 400EX and they will laugh you in the face. Sport quads are not made for pulling. I would never even attempt to even pull somebody out of the mud with my 400ex, no way!

Well I agree with everyone who says "if you need to pull things you shouldnt have got a 400EX". The plan when buying my 400EX wasnt to pull things......but.....I would like to pull my utility trailer sometimes. Basically I dont leave my 400EX on the trailer and when I get back from riding would like to hook it to my 400EX and move it to the back yard instead of using my HUGE F350 4X4 and trying to manuever it around. If they have one cool, if not, o'well.

Not to change the subject but since I got some fellow 400EX'rs here I would like to ask another question: I just bought it and its totally insane....couldnt have been more stoked about it.

What accessories, other than "performance" such as header, pipes, jet kits, should I get initially to make sure it runs good and is protected ????? The dealer told me to get a new Skid Plate for the back but are there other items that are a "must" ? I dont want to damage anything if it can be somewhat prevented. Thanks

I think if the guy wants to use his 400EX to tote stuff around, more power to him.
