if i have a 250ex and there is a part in a magazine say an exaust or air filter would it work for my 250ex if it says 250x?

 

No, they are completely different bikes. The 250EX is based on the Recon, so some Recon stuff might be interchangable.

No nothing from the 300ex will fit except rims and tires grips and handlebars. And no don't even ask about the 400ex the same for it.

Also go out and buy a november issue of dirt wheels mag. They tested a Graydon Proline 250ex.
They have a list on the last page of mods, manufactures of, and prices.
I'm looking at it now it's the who's who of the after market world that suplied them.

You have a pretty nice bike start with Rocky Mountain and go from thier. You should be able to find parts almost any were.
If your looking at adds they usualy only list a couple of
