Hey guys,

I just ordered a WB E-series, K&N filter, and Outerwear for my 300EX. My question is, do I need to re-jet my quad with these mods? I know I can get more performance out of changing my main jet but do I really need to do this. If so, what size main would you guys recommend I use. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Brett

Yes you will need to rejet if you don't want it to overheat and melt a piston. Stick something like a 135 in it and work your way down. Theres no way we could tell you which one to use.

I forgot to mention that this is only a slip on pipe. Will this still have the same effects as a full exhaust? And how will changing my air filter and pipe melt a piston?? Please don't respond harshly to this question. I am just tring to find out the answers to some questions. Thanks again.

Well lets say you put this stuff on. More than likely its gonna be a little lean on the mixture. When you first start it up it won't be getting enough gas. The more you ride the hotter it will get becasue lack of gas and too much air. That to much air will put the hole in your piston. Unless you build your engine a slip on silencer will be enough. Let me know if you have any more questions.
