how muck power loss will i expirence when putting the stock silencer on? right now i have the old fmf powercoreIV and it is way to loud to do alot of late night riding

i don't want to sound like a dick but why don't u just put your stock system back on and see? it won't cost you any money (unless u have to buy jets or a stock silencer) the stock exhaust is great for night riding. its very quiet unless your really on the gas.

Is there any thing different between the 2001 and 2002 400EX ?

Not on the exhaust, it will fit

theres no difference between 2001 and 2002 except the decals and seat cover.

Stickers,seatcovers......AND... new front and rear shocks, the 2002 have more adjustable shocks. But as far as mod'n the bike anything for the older ones will work.
