I want to know what plastic for a 250R everyone thinks looks the best. Now I have white w/ red hood. It is cracked, so I am getting new this winter. I am thinking of getting red plastic w/quad tech carbon fiber scoop hood, white plastic w/ carbon or red scoop hood, and I have also thought about getting red fullbore. If you have any other ideas please tell me, if not just tell me which of the above you thick would look the best. I will have chrome a-arms and swing-arm. I will powdercoat the frame either red or silver-vien (depending on what plastic I get)

Thanks,

Brad

I have seen quite a few after market plastics. The best aftermarket is FullBore. It is shiney like original and even has a cut out for radiator cap access. If you dont buy FullBore buy stock. All other plastic looks inferior.

I am in the process of getting new plastics myself, Fullbore is great for a one-piece front but after doing a little research I find that the rear don't hold up too well, they all crack.

Buy factory plastics, but if you are going to do your machine in white you could do Maiers and save a lot of money, plus they are strong, but only if you are doing white. The reason white doesn't reflect or shine like a darker color would. Again if you do go with maier white use a stock red or blue hood, the factory hood look and shine better.

I think the best looking color is the stock white with red hood with stock graphics.

Also as for the silver vien, I personally think it look horrible, someone powercoated my swingarm silver vien and it looks bad. It makes it look low-tech and it looks like it weights a million pounds, like it was pounded out of a single piece of steel, yuck.

Hey Mike330R,
Are you sure it's www.Cal-atv.com? Cuz I get no replies with site search, and I even tried different combinations with the cap letters.

I will probably end up getting stock from service honda ( since it is the cheapest). Is that $475 for all of the rubber grommets and brackets or just for the plastic alone? Any what do yall think about the colors?

Thanks,

Brad

those prices are for the fenders without any hardware. I personally can't get enough of the white of red look.
