Swing arm questions
#1
Okay, 400ex swing arm on a 2001 300ex. Would it work, and how much longer is the 400ex's swing arm? I have also heard some bad things about them being weak and unreliable, have you all heard the same or was I dreamin? And one more question, I have taken quite a bit of weight off of the rear of my quad but none really on the front and I was wondering if there are tid bits of weight on the front that I don't need and could get rid of, it is a 2001 300ex. I would like to keep my weight some what even. Thanks

the swingarm on the 400EX's are great!. ihave one myself and its been totally reliable for big air, rocks, bumps, etc. In fact their so sturdy that riders that are into mods often leave their 400ex swingarm stock. Their so sturdy because they're one solid cast piece, whereas other models have numerous bolt-on pieces that make up the swing-arm. Who ever says 400EX swing arms are junk is full of sh*t

The 99 did have troble with the swingarm breaking.I had one of the
first 99 4ooex's my swingarm broke my 2nd ride.I admit I was getting
some big air when it broke.Honda replaced it free.I never had a
problem since.I also owen a 01EX no problems I raced it the hole
season this year.I agree with needforspeed there was a bad batch
in 99.
