i was thinking that if i get some steel front wheels with no tire on it i could weld a set of snowmobile skis to the wheels any one think this is worth trying?

 

I have to say no!. If you want skis, you need to make them bolt on to the spindle, no hubs. You do not want the ski to be able to flip over when you jump, but you need some movement like on snowmobiles to get up a hill or bump.
I made a pair for my old suzuki sort of they way you are thinking, it did not work out.
It would be cool to have ski's, just find a better way.
