how do you know if a tire will fit your rim? my rim size is 10x8 and i have the stock 25x11x10 on it. i dont understand. i was thinking if i had a 25x11x10 i would have to get the same size tire to fit. am i wrong? can someone please tell me so i dont get the wrong size tire for my rim?

tire sizes are like this. the first number is the height of the tire. The second number is the width of the tire. The last number is the diameter of the rim. for instance. Your rancher has 11 inch rims on the back. Stock tires on the rear are 24x9x11 if i remeber correctly. Any tire that has a size that ends in 11 will fit your stock 11 inch rims. I have 25x12.5x11 inch Bearclaws on stock wheels. Your front wheels are 12 inch wheels. Any tire that ends in 12 will fit the stock wheels. ten inch wides is about as wide as you want to go STOCK because any wider and they may rub when you turn all the way on one direction.
I hope i help some

i just noticed you said 2x4, the above is as if you have a 4x4. sorry for the mixup. So any tire that size ends in a 10 will fit on your stock wheels.

That's right. Tire and rim sizes read opposite of each other. What I mean is if you have 25x10x11 tires you will have 11x8 rims. Rim companies put the diameter first then the width. Where tire companies put width first then diameter.
