Campy, maybe you would like to come witness some of our street drags? Yes, the 1.9L SC HAS beaten every Mustang and Camaro he has ever ran. You call them "junked out rice burners"... Okay, so I was wrong.. Dodge Charger. How many MPG can you average out of that specific car? 5..6? The "modded" Civic's can still get 20mpg, and will run with any built 454, 350 or whatever made.

and the SC2 only makes 24 more horsepower.

You mean to tell me that you think the 1.9L SC has 24HP?

Yes, the Supra is very expensive, however your kinda people usually group it with the "rice burners". That's also why I called it a "4-Banger"

Also, you take your riced up little Civic, and all the money that you poured into it, and give me that same amount of money. With that money, I would buy a used car with a half-decent engine (read: more than 4 cylinders), and I would create something with twice the horsepower, and consequently MUCH faster than your little riced up piece of crap

FourTracker14 was comparing the Civic to a Corvette. Sorry guy, but you can buy a Civic, put a NO2 system, intake, and exhaust on the Civic, and blow the doors off a Vette, and have enough money left over to buy another Civic.

Have you ever PERSONALLY raced a Saturn with a camaro or Mustang? The V6's they put in them are ****. I don't care what you say, until you do it, you will not know.

You can put all the crap under the hood you want.. It's all personal preferance. You know mine, I know yours.

Campy,

Very well said. I couldn't agree more about what you said in your previous post. A Toyota Supra Turbo is a nice car, however I would never own one.

Honestly fellas, I haven't seen or will ever have any desire to see the movie "The Fast and the Furious" I don't see any fun in racing a bunch of panzy-*** rice burners that supposively go 200mph. Which realistically, in my opinion isn't possible I guess some people just believe the inevenable.

As for lonestarbanshee, I'm sorry man but I don't understand where you are coming from. I mean I don't understand the point that you are trying to make. You say that a 1995 Saturn CS can whoop the pants off of a V6 Camero and Mustang. If thats true, (which is very hard to believe) WHO GIVES A CRAP!!!! There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING SPECIAL ABOUT A V6 CAMERO OR MUSTANG THAT ONLY HAS 200 HORSEPOWER. JUST LIKE THEIR IS NOTHING SPECIAL ABOUT A FREAKIN' CIVIC THAT ONLY HAS 127 HORSEPOWER STOCK!!!! How about a real American sports car like a Z-28 or Trans Am that comes with 320 horsepower stock? There is no way that a economy car like that could ever compete with a real muscle car. No way in hell.

One of my friends has a 2000 Civic EX with some stuff done to it. (air intake, headers, exhaust, and useless crap like that) His Civic runs an 18.3 quarter mile on the drag strip. I personally have raced him on the drag strip with my stock 2000 Chevrolet S-10 Xtreme (Vortec 4.3L V6 automatic) and I ran a 16.4 quater mile. I don't even have anything done to my truck and I still kicked my friends panzy-*** Civic's ***.

My neighbor that lives across the street from me has a brand new black 2001 Pontiac Trans Am that she has taken to the drag strip to see what it will do. It has the Ram Air system with a 6-speed manual tranny. She even admits that she barely even knows how to drive the car and is still running a 13.1 quarter mile at 112mph consistantly. Which means, that when she learns how to drive the car better, that car will easily run high 11 or low 12 seconds on the quarter mile strip.

All you Rice-Burner fanatics who think that Jap car are the $h!t, you can think what you want. But you can never beat a real American sports car. So if you have to, go ahead and "CHINC" your eyes, and believe the unbelievable.

Yeah fourtracker14, that is the difference between us. You can like what you like, and I'll like what I like.. It's that simple. Nobody can make you understand the point I'm getting, because you have a 1-track mind, and you are set in your ways. Hey, that's 100% respectable.

Oh, and just a little FYI... The fastest Honda Civic ever built runs 173.64mph. See, a factory Camaro can beat that.. can't it?

I'm with Fourtracker14, when did people start drag racing six cylinders, unless it's a CBX? This is the same crowd that thinks fly weights can beat up heavy weights, that ice skating is a real sport, or that hopping up a 300EX is a worthwhile endeavor. Go figure.

<<and the SC2 only makes 24 more horsepower.

You mean to tell me that you think the 1.9L SC has 24HP>>

That's not what I said. Read it again.
"The '95 Saturn SC1 has a 100hp 1.9L inline four, and the SC2 only makes 24 more horsepower."
The operative word of the sentence is "more".

<<Yes, the Supra is very expensive, however your kinda people usually group it with the "rice burners". That's also why I called it a "4-Banger">>

Nothing that comes stock from the factory with a 320hp twin turbocharged inline 6 is a "rice burner", nor is it a four banger, seeing as how its got SIX cylinders.

<<FourTracker14 was comparing the Civic to a Corvette. Sorry guy, but you can buy a Civic, put a NO2 system, intake, and exhaust on the Civic, and blow the doors off a Vette, and have enough money left over to buy another Civic.>>

I know that's what he said. That's not what I said, though. I said, and I quote, "I would buy a used car". With as much money as you poured into your Civic (you probably purchased it brand new, and threw in well over 1000$ worth of performance parts, and probably almost that much in fugly, pointless body modifications), I could take my Beretta and decimate you.

<<Have you ever PERSONALLY raced a Saturn with a camaro or Mustang? The V6's they put in them are ****. I don't care what you say, until you do it, you will not know.>>

No, but I've PERSONALLY raced an SC2 with my Beretta, my friend has one. I killed him. There's absolutely no other way to put it. I was 6-8+ carlengths ahead of him at a quarter mile, and at a half mile (which was how far the race was, since it was on a back road), I hardly even noticed that he had his flashers on to let me know that he was giving up.

<<You can put all the crap under the hood you want.. It's all personal preferance. You know mine, I know yours. >>

"Crap under the hood" is a painted engine, colored spark plug wires, stickers. Performance parts under the hood include things like superchargers, which I'm currently saving up for.

<<Oh, and just a little FYI... The fastest Honda Civic ever built runs 173.64mph. See, a factory Camaro can beat that.. can't it? >>

Did a FACTORY Honda Civic run 173.64mph? No.
A FACTORY Camaro won't run that, either, but there are plenty of tuner Camaros out there that will break 200mph, and that's EXACTLY what that Civic is: a tuner car.
By the way, the Camaro Z28 will do 158mph right from the factory. Drop in a supercharger and some different gearing, and it's already closing fast on that mighty little super Civic.

Jesus Christ man, you need to lighten up!

Did a FACTORY Honda Civic run 173.64mph? No.

Did I ever say a FACTORY Civic ran that?? NO Maybe you should go back and read what I said instead of reading what you want me to say. The fastest Civic BUILT raun 173.64

I KNOW how fast a Camaro will go straight off the floor. Take a joke every once in a while..

That was my point, man!

Now, all you guys need to realize (especially Jun) is that front-wheel drive is NOT the ideal drivetrain for dragging!
Imagine what that Jun Lemon Civic would run if it were rwd? Heh...
