Difficult 400EX cold starts...
#1
Everyone knows the 400ex is hard to start when it gets cold. I know we need to go up on the pilot jet. How far though? 2 size's? Mike takes me about 5 minutes of pumping the throttle and it stalling in 2 seconds or so until i can get it to run....
So what do you guys think...1 size up would be too little to help much?

I just changed my low speed jet from the stock #38 to a #40. This may not sound like much of a jump, but it did the trick. The bike will rev at a higher rpm when the choke is out (like it is suppose to). If you go too big, you will possibly experience plug-fouling or sluggish acceleration.
