A suzuki lt250r or honda 250r? Which one has a harder hit in the powerband? Does anyone know how much HP either of the two quads puts out?

Thanks for your time.

im not trying to bash any quads this is just my opinion.

stock for stock i have heard that the lt250r is faster on a straight away but that the 250r is faster in the woods b/c of its superior handling.i have never witnessed that for myself but i have heard it on several occasions. hope this helps, sorry i cant help you with your other questions.

I would have to agree. A suzuki LT250 does have better straight-line power but a 250R is a better all around bike. It all depends on your riding type. See Ya!

Stock for stock the LT has more power bottom to top than any other 250 two stroke quad engine due mainly to its powervalve. The Honda is more popular because its frame geometry and suspension is better. As a result of this, there are a lot more hop-up parts for the Honda and may cost you a little less to modify than the LT in the end. The honda might hold its value better but you had better check it out closely as many have been raced and abused. Its usually easier to find a LT in good shape than a Honda. If you get the LT, FTZ has a good port and Yamaha piston set-up that I hear is really sweet. That's only hearsay, I'd check for more feedback first.

acording to dirtwheels, the tecate had them all beat in the hp department. I read somewhere else that a stock honda 250r only put out 26 hp to the wheels.
