I would like some advice on which aftermarket 250R frame to get and swing arm. I do all of my riding in the sand .
I have tcs zero pre load shocks front and rear and lonestar +2+1 arms.
I know roll design is the best but I wouldn't want to spend 8500. I like lonestar products but I have heard there frames crack around the foot pegs and I am looking for a frame that will last

personally, i would go with houser, it is decent priced and looks good. i havent heard anybody say anythign bad about them. there website is www.houser-racing.com or laegers but i think laeger would take a long time to get because they have so many pro riders.

There really aren't that many frame builders. Lonestar, Aarens bros, Laeger, Roll Design, Walsh Racecraft, and Houser(if they make frames)

Rad-R, For the full frame, I recommend going to the Aarens Brothers. They are stronger than LSRs, and a little cheaper. I too have heard of many LoneStars cracking. It seems LSR is interested in quanity instead of quality, and the Aarens Brothers are just the opposite.

I was looking at stuff on Ebay and came across people making and selling aftermarket R frames, but don't recall there name. Just go to Ebay and type in 250R then sort by highest priced, you'll find it.

I was just looking at K&K atv site and they are showing a portter frame and a one by gibson that is coming soon . Has anyone ever heard anything about these companies ? Also when I was looking at the arens chassis the picture that is shown shows no rear motor mount like on the 86-87 frames. I was wondering if they also make the 88-89 style frame with the rear motor mount mounted on the frame .
I also looked at housser and they just list a frame for a yz 400 with 250r geometry .

Is there a "sub-frame" kit available for the stock frame?
