is the motor out of an 86 atc 250r the same as whats in the fourtrax 250r.thanks.....oz_400ex

Yep, the 85-87 atc250r motor's will bolt right in the the 86-87 trx frame. The 3-Wheeler motors do put out a little bit more power than the quad motor's do.
