I've looked at the 400's but the dealers aren't bargaining at all. Out here ( southern CA ), the best deal in town is MSRP + tax. Don't get me wrong; the 400EX is the sweetest thing since the 250R but...... I'm not going to pay full ticket for one and I have to finish paying off some other stuff first. Maybe next year, I'll break down and go buy a new one. In the mean time, I'd like to play with this "X" and see if I can get it to work good.

I have a Supertrapp E.A.R exhaust FOR SALE. It fits 250x/300ex quads. It has a fist full of race power at a quiet level of noise.. It comes with the Supertrapp headpipe (bigger than stock to give more power). I completely sanded and painted it with high temp paint. I'll sell it for $100--Email me MOTOMAN446@aol.com

About the wheel base on the 300ex's. When I bought mine in the summer the guy at the dealership told me to buy this spacer kit and i did i got all around. but when i when out for a ride it seemed to make the front suspention weaker but the back was alot more stable so i took the spacers off the front and traded them back in. but on the back u would be surprized what a few more inchs of wheel base will do!!!

I am interested in the specifics of this kit that you purchased ( who makes it, etc. ). The kit may be a solution if my other idea doesn't work. I am trying to find out if a stock 250R swingarm will bolt up to the X chassis because it is about 18" compared to 15.5" for an "X" swingarm. Does anyone know whether or not it will fit??
