yeah i might be getting a 92 250x and i wanted to know what there like . do they have very many mods you can do to them ,what parts are good and bad and stuff like that.thnx

 

i had one and liked it, any aftermarket part you can get for a 300ex you can get for a 250X because they are basically the same bike, just one is kick start and one aint.

 

You can mod the things out as deep as your pockets go. They are bulletproof and fast once you mod them out. Some people complain about the reverse procedue. Personaly I dont think it's that bad.

 

u can mod the bu-jesus outof a 250x or 300ex.. there are parts for them everywhere. if a company makes a part, its almost a gaurantee that they make one for a 250x and 300ex. i love em,, you can bore out to above 400cc's, the largest i've seen is a 416, but they might can go even higher. there are extended a-arms and swingarms everywhere, u can get them used pretty cheaply. the best thing about the a-arms and swingarm is that a 400ex's will fit, and after sumone puts extended stuff on their 400ex, they will sell the chassis parts cheap, around here you can get a set of 400ex a-arms for about 50-75 bucks. i think i may go back to a 300ex for my new quad, or a blown up 250x, then buy a big bore kit for it (probably a 380 bore and stroke kit). they are stout little quads, bulletproof by all means, reliable as you can get, and you can usually buy a used one fairly cheap.
