I'm looking to mount 400 plastic on my R for 2 reasons its over half the cost of stock and looks pretty trick too. Has anyone tried this?

I've seen this done alot at the Nationals this year. I never really gave it a close look but it seemed to fit pretty good. What alot of people were doing was they would cut off the headlight mount and replaced it with black maier plastic front nose piece. I curved down alot more than stock but still looked real good...

There is a company that makes a kit to put the EX plastic on the R. I remember seeing it in one of my magazines. You will have to change the seat and tank as well so it will be costly.

Actually 400EX parts are dirt cheap (I think to try to get people away from the 250R, also they are made in the US) Yes one of the magazines told how to do it and who had a kit for it.

It was in the August issue of 4Wheel ATV Action. The place to call is Performance Racing Concepts @ (615) 643-9434.

God bless,

Jason
