I'm looking to put 400 ex front brakes on my R due to the cost of stock R parts and the accessability of the 400 parts. I do know that the spindles are different but the hubs are the same as 88-89 R's What I'm looking to find out is what needs to be done to change this over. Ie tie rod location does it need to be moved also if there you have to change ball joints and so on

Default 400ex brakes on 250R

I know this post is really old, but i did a search before asking, and i had the same question.

He says that the hubs are the same but the spindles are different. I am looking to use a complete front brake set-up from a 400ex on my 250R a-arms. I am talking the spindles, hubs, rotors, calipers. But if the spindles are different, then it may not work. If the tie rods are moved or something.

Anyone know what on these is interchangable?
