400ex broken knee!
#1
I thought I would share a little heart break story with all of you fellow quad nuts!
I could never understand why anybody would spend the money on nerf bars if they were not going to race. Its like wearing a chest protector in the sand dunes. Nonsense. I can think of many other mods I would spend my $200.00 on. That was what I used to think the day before I bought my brand new 400ex Anyway I will give you a little background. I have beeen riding 15 years and have owned 3 warriors, 1 zooted banshee, and
a 250R. I have ridden the mountains of the east and the sand dunes of the west. I used to think I was an atv god until I dislocated my knee in my own front yard the first day that I had my prize possesion. I was climbing over a very tall pile of leaves and my front tire went over the edge. I put my foot down to catch myself and that was when the big pop happened. One month later the same knee popped. I had to put my foot down when the quad went on two wheels around a corner.
I have learned alot of lessons out of this painful ordeal. (1) Diehard quadnutz should not ride dirtbikes for any extended length of time. (2)Nerf bars might be a good thing for my lower extremities. I forgot to mention that the only other time I have been hurt is because My foot fell off the pegs riding double on a banshee. Broke three bones in the same foot that my bad knee is attached to. I do not ride double any more and I am currently looking for a good set of nerfs.

Wishing you a speedy and complete recovery, Bushdogz!
The most common major injuries in ATV riding are foot/ankle/leg injuries.
Were you wearing boots in either of your accidents, to your knee or to your foot? What kind?
Again, get well soon!
