I am thinking about buying a new 400EX and I wanted to know if them not having reverse was a pain or not and how good they really run?

The 400EX is a top-notch machine! It has excellent power, superb suspension and handling, and a fast top-end. The only hold back--no reverse, but no other pure sport quad has reverse either. You learn to ride in places where you don't have to back up or you put the front end on an uphill and let it roll backwards. One other way (if you are not vertically challenged in the inseam), use your legs and push! The 4X is light enough and pushes very easily.

I am not vertically challenged, but I thought it might be a pain in the butt to have to get off and push every time you had to back up.

Why buy a High Performance ATV if you want to go backwards? Besides most of the time you can wick the throttle and turn on a dime anyhow. Only time you would need reverse is in deep mud and snow. But its a light machine and you should be able to pick it up and move it if you need to.

While the server may be slow, duplicates are caused by posters who repeatedly point and click on the "SUBMIT" button, who don't "REFRESH" or "RELOAD" to check to see if their post "took."

Several posts on the board describe how to avoid posting duplicates.
