I am going to put a set of Maxxis Sur traks on the rear of my Honda Recon. Is this a good idea, and are these very good tires? I mostly ride woods and some mud. Thanks

I have a set on the rear of my warrior. I would definately buy them again. I have never got as flat with them. They hook up great in the mud,and they still look new after one year. Maxxis makes great tires. Good luck.

Pyro,

shame on you !!! all those pictures and no helmets !!! please, for your own safety, and the good name of all quad riders, put the brain bucket on, if you want your face showing, take some still shots by your ride. Don't mean to rag on you, but we have to make good examples for the anti-fun people.

Not saying you guys are wrong or trying to argue or anything here I am just going to state my experiences with the tire.

A friend has them on his 300EX and they just did real lousy in the mud, the stock 300EX tires did just as good as his sur tracks. He has had 2 flats with them and they just don't seem to make the bike handle very well. I have ridden his 300 and 2 other 300EX's and I owned a 250X so I know how they go stock in the mud, and all terrain. Like I said guys I am not trying to bash your tires I am just stating my experiences and opinions on them.

Hey I know you aren't bashing anyone's tires,, Just stating your experience
with the product,,I have had mine for 2.5 years, and they have performed well,,I was a little apprehensive a first because they area a 2ply tire,,but
I was looking for a lightweight tire,, Did not want to get tires to heavy to turn,. I slimed all the tires and (knock on wood) haven't had any flats..
I did run over a bottle someone put on a trail,(covered by snow) and it
put a 1.5 inch slice in it,, took it to a truck tire shop and they
vulcanized it. Just like new..But the tires are directional tires, I pulled
into a huge mud hole to pull out a 2 wheel drive, and tried to back out pulling him,, nope ,, tires balled up like slicks,,so I turned around and
yanked him out no problem,,,I run about 4lbs in them......
