I kind of am getting in at the half way point of this project so the details are scetchy. Crank it up and it idles well. Blip the throttle twice and on the third time it boggs down and continues to bog. So we started it again held it open about 3/4 and out the pipe came what looked to be premix but more grey. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you are probably having a carburetion problem. The float level in the carb could be set too high, your jetting could be way off, you could have a broken reed, or you could have a fouled spark plug.

Amen to that. Keep in mind that to get a true reading opening the throttle wide in neutral is not a good indicator. You need to do plug chops to find out what is going on with your jetting. Do a search on this forum under jetting. You will find all the info you need.

Thanks, the reeds look good and the plug looks good. I haven't checked the float, but I will.

How's the air-flow "in"? Check out the filter and see if it's dirty. This can cause a lot of running problems and it's one that is easily overlooked.
