I've decided to buy a new 400EX. I've heard alot about aftermarket pipes for this EX. Can anybody help me out by telling me which pipe would give the EX the best overall performance?

I've also heard alot of good things about the big gun exhaust. They say it isn't as loud as the other pipes but still gives performance. Is the front pipe on the 400EX as good as they say it is or when you buy a new exhaust like the big gun should you buy the whole exhaust system or just the back silencer?

Go with the White Bros. Pro-Meg System. It is loud..actually i believe it is one of or THE loudest pipes you can get. It delivers a noticable power gain throughout the enitre band where as some just add more to the top or bottom end. Either way, you wont go wrong with the WB unless you cant stand the noise. Hope this helps.

I've also heard alot about this white brothers pipe to. The noise doesn't really matter to me, I figure the louder the pipe the more people notice your quad.

Stay tuned for the new FMF systems. They should be real good units.

I can promise u which pipe is the BEST. Get the DMC Dual exhaust system. It's rather pricey ($480) but i promise with the same mods u won't be beat. Get that exhaust (whole system) aftermarket air filter (k&n or Uni), holes in airbox, get 162-170 main jets, not the Dyno kit. I have a 168 in mine now, and it's perfect. Check out my website for some pics. http://members.home.net/umcpmark/index.htm

Good luck.

I have a Graydon Proline Big Bore Pipe on my 400ex and it is awesome it has more torque and pulls hard through the mid and on the top end. Take a look on there web site http://www.graydonproline.com/
or call them and ask for Darryl he is always real helpful to me tell him Kevin Haynes told you to give him a call. 1-800-655-7762
Give them a call I promise you that you will be happy with this pipe and there service.

I have the trinity pipe on my 2000 model....it does pretty good with low end i thought but i just figured out that mine had a lot of play in the throttle so i have not run it yet with the throttle adjusted....you can tell that it does give it a lot of kick though...it came with a chrome head pipe and polished silencer w/ supertrapp adjustable spark arrestor...for only 250.00...all of it fit perfect too...i must say i'm pretty happy with mine...
