My Rubicon when it is iddling it has white smoke coming out of the muffler the whole time. In reverse it is a black smoke the whole time, and when you hit the throttle in drive it smokes white most of the time, and in neutral the whole time.

Please help quick.

 

Check your anti-freeze level. White smoke usually indicates coolant is getting into the combustion chamber from somewhere, like a leaking head gasket.

 

I agree with farmr123. Burning coolant causes white smoke. Black smoke is usually an indication of burning too rich.

HAVE YOU CHECK THE AIR PREESURE IN YOUR TIRES ON THE LEFT. IF YOU DONT HAVE LOW AIR PRESURE ON THE LEFT SIDE YOUR QUAD WILL LEAN TO THE LEFT SIDE AND THE ANTI-FREEZE WILL MIX WITH YOUR BRAKE FLUID GET INTO CARBURETOR. SO JUST CHECK TIRES.

 

How cold is it when it smokes, white smoke is normal on a cold day.... check the oil level, to much oil will also smoke white when cold then blue/black when warm. It is real easy to overfill a rubicons oil as it always reads low when cold- check after 5 min shutdown on a warm engine

 

The tempature is around 70-80 when it is doing this

 

I have checked the anti-freeze, Tire pressure, oil level and all of that is fine. Any other suggestions?

 

You should check your sparkplug. A light brown color is normal. A white plug indicates you are burning anti-freeze. And a black plug indicates a flooding condition. If in fact you are burning anti-freeze, it will get lower and you will have to add some. How many Kilometers on the quad ? If it is a cylinder head gasket, you will find signs of oil in the anti-freeze and anti-freeze in the oil. If you look at your rad cover and it is foamy, that is a good indication you have oil in the anti-freeze. This is the first I heard of this happening to the Rubicon. Hope you are mistaken!!

P.S Is the quad loosing power ?

 

Have you had your quad in water? Do note that the dude that wrote about the air pressure either has NO clue or was joking. I highly doubt you are buring antifreeze.

 

I am RubiconMan500's friend. (He is out of town for a while). Anyway, we took our Atv's beneath the muffler in water. It had been smoking before we did that, though. It might have made it worse. We can not tell a difference.
