will a tricked 1986 200sx be able to race beginner class?

I've got a 1986 200 sx with wiseco 11.5 :1 pistons , new top end, cobra pipe and muffler, valve job and a few other performance parts that I can't remember off-hand. Do you think that this quad will hold it's own on an MX track if I ride it pretty good?THANX!

I own a 86 200sx that I plan to add a few modifications to.If I was going to even try racing motocross I've heard of taking a 80 or 81 YZ80 Motorcycle shock and putting it on the rear end.Either that or Works Performance makes shocks for this model. The front;Works also makes shocks in the front too.It would definetly need to shed some weight.I would take of the mud fenders, and handlebar ends etc. Also I would gear it down and add 20' tires.Even after all this if you raced with the Blasters you could probably have a hard time keeping up without a manual clutch.I would rathe race it in the begginers XC.

A yz 80 shock works really good it also makes it sit higher. You could also try holeshots or so kind of racing tire all the way around. Also go to www.worksperformance.com they have front shocks for your 200sx.

I found some yz80 shocks on ebay, but the older model yz80s look like they have different shocks than the newer ones. I was wondering which one will work in my 200sx. They are all mono shocks. I think there is a 95 92 82 and 70 something. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou.
