I have removed mine from the stock pipe. I can put it back in also. What are the advatages and disadvantages of this. It doesn't make it very much louder. The exhaust feels like there is still something inside the pipe.

Thankx

Let me start by saying I dig your log on name and you must have good taste in quads!haha..But on the spark arrestor deal I don't know much about how they work except what they are for which is to keep fire from exiting your pipe when it backfires, not to insult your intelegance. What I do know is you truly won't believe the difference an aftermarket exaust will make your bike run.I know they are expensive but they are worth every penny.I have a SUPERTRAPP system on my 00 300ex and I love it.It also has a spark arrestor in it.(good if you ride on state land where they require one)My buddy has a DG onhis 300 and it don't have an arrestor and is very loud, but was a lot less expensive.(I think around 140.00 compared to about 300.00 for the supertrapp)I just thought you might be interested. If you are interested in some of the other mods I done to my bike feel free to e-mail me.I would love for someone to learn from my mistakes and spend there money where you get results.Good Luck!!

Yes it's perfectly ok, almost everyone does it. When you do sell it to me for $10. I need one to put in my daughters ATV. I'm trying to make hers back to stock.
