250ex question

Does the 250ex have the same engine as the recon? My friend told me that. Is he full of crap?

I've heard that it is basically the same enigne but witha couple mods. (i think)

I might be wrong on this but going by what I have read is the engines were different with the 01 250EX and 01 Recons. The 02 Recon and the 02 250ex use the same engine.

after 2002 they are the same.
