Hi i have a 2000 400ex and is the best quad i have evere rode. so far i haven't done much to considering i'm still in school and can only work so much but anyway. i was windering where i can get a racing front fender and a big bore kit, Plus has anyone have suggestion for racing tires, haven't been able to find good ones yet. Plus if there are any other cheap mods you suggest under 100$ please tell me Thanks

 

Get Plastic from Maier (through a magazine ad like Recreation Unlimited). Get the 440 kit from White Bros. Get a XR250 rev box from Honda for $90. Get aluminum skidplates if you ride over logs or rocks.

 

u can drill 4-6 1" holes in airbox for FREE, and u will notice a difference. Get an air filter either uni or K&N (around $40). next u have to start spending some money. Get an exhaust system next, the DMC Dual is great, especially if u eventually get the big bore kit. It is true dual exhaust for 400ex. I have it, and it's awesome. I beat everyone with similar mods. If u send me an email i'll give u a link to a site that gives u horsepower results of various 400ex mods. I'm not at home now so i don't have the link here. Once u get the exhaust, and you've jetted the quad, then u have to start cracking gaskets.
