I'm 30, and you can see the list of equipment I own or have owned. I started riding when I was about 12. Took about a 10 year hiatus from riding after I sold the Quadsport to go to college. Got back in about three years ago. I can't stop buying these things. I have a real addiction. Somebody stop me, I even own a Yamaha BW200.

I'm 28 and I started riding at 16, on an old 1974(or maybe 75) Kawasaki 175 2 stroke enduro that I bought from some friend of my Dad's for $75. I had it for a couple years until it froze up. I didn't ride again until I was 25(raising babies is expensive).
I got a 2000 KX 250 and started racing, the throttle stuck in a race and turned us into a rocket. I ,without a parachute, mangled my leg. I traded the KX for a Lakota Sport to get around the job sight with my broken leg. From there I started liking quads and had to have more power, thus the Raptor. These things really are addictive. The manufacturers should have warning labels that say "ATV riding is habit forming".
