Well, since you only wanna spend $200-$250 than your gonna have to get a slip-on or you can get a Supertrapp pipe (here a link to the supertrapp)Supertrapp pipe If you go with a slip-on I suggest the Pro Circuit T-4 pipe. It's got a nice sound to it, not too loud and it gives good power. You can buy different endcaps for it to adjust your power and sound.
Just remember to rejet when you add your filter and pipe or your motor will run lean and hot and it will cause severe problems and lead to the premature failure of your motor. Also I would stay away from the K&N if you ride in dusty conditions cause it will let in some of the dust and also have a negative effect on your motor. UNI twin air, or any dual stage foam filter will keep out more particles.

I have full DG Pipe that I've been wanting to sell. I'll ship it to you for $75 if your interested. It is about a year old and I ran it on my 250x for about two months before I sold it. It is loud and very fast!
I'll send you a pic if you want.
Also if you put a pipe on besure to rejet and put some holes in the air box lid.
