Just bought a 2000 Honda Foreman 450ES on Saturday for $4100 (included delivery). Has about 160 miles, no extras. Clean, no scratches or dents.

Even though it's too late now, whadaya think??

IcePrincess,
I think you got a good deal. That's about 10% over wholesale. Did you purchase that at the auction you were going too? The Foreman 450 is what I would go out and purchase if I needed a new 4x4 quad today.
Good luck with your Foreman 450ES it will take you where you want to go.

The '93 Honda at auction went for $2300 and the '99 Yamaha Grizzly for $3700. I had decided I wanted 4-wheel drive, so I didn't bid on the Honda at all. My top price for the Grizzly was $3623 but I went up to $3650. Upon further inspection it looked like it must have rolled over because one side was kinda smashed down.

It was weird -- some lady saw us looking at the Grizzly and said that her son had an ATV for sale that was nearly new. After losing out on the auction, we called & ended up buying it that afternoon. The guy delivered yesterday and I had a blast driving around our farm! I think I like it better than the Grizzly -- a little smaller and lower to the ground so it's easier for me to handle. The 450 should be plenty of power for me to haul cattle feed or pull a drag. Plus it's fire-engine red and I look good on it, hee hee!

Thanks for your help!!

LOL, ForeWoman, I like that.
My neighbor has a 97 Foreman 400 and you wouldn't believe what he does with it and he goes every where. The 450 Foreman is an improved model in power and suspension over the Foreman 400.
In today's market there is a lot of the bigger is better but Bearing that in mind I still would go with the good old Foreman 450. The 450 sits just slightly higher than my Honda 300 4x4 but the width between the two is almost the same. Trail riding if you are able to do any of that will be fun and comfortable. The 450 should be able to whip your farm in shape and a girl on a red quad is just superb ForeWoman.

What state do you live in Iceprincess. Because we had a FFA auction and it had the same quads you named and the went for about the same price. I live in Winchester KY.

That's zackly what I paid last summer for a 98 450S with 2K miles. Assuming it is intact and all works, I think you got a screamin' deal. Mine works better with the 26" Dirt Devil tires I added. Enjoy!

Thanks everybody! I feel much better about buying it now.

bigbad400: It was a bank auction in Paris (Kentucky Bank, I think). I assume everything was either repossessed or used as collateral and the owners didn't pay up. Everybody was trying to get a deal because it was an absolute auction.
