I just don't think you have the time, On shipping to do what needs to be done.

If you can? Drop a tooth on the front sproket, Or go two teeth higher on the rear sproket.Top end speed will fall to about 54 mph.Stay in the woods. If you chalenge him in the straights he'll kill yeaa in the end!

If you don't care about noise!!, Take the spark arester off.It will give you just a little more power.

430's right, keep him in the woods. The honda's set up much better than the yamaha for that. Use the low end power that its designed for and you'll pull away...high rpms are a no-no. Polish your white knuckles and give him a run for his money!

What type of race are you talking, motocross, flattrack, woods, etc. As far as racing motocross for example, yes a little extra power helps, but its all rider after that. A Banshee can be fast in motocross if the rider is used to basically being on the edge of out of control. A 400EX outhandles the banshee so they are easier to ride motocross, but if the rider can't ride it, it doesn't matter anyway. Just the same with a banshee being faster on top end but if the rider is no good on it then quess what, he isn't going to win the race.

I kinda get tired of hearing people saying their quad is faster here or there so that quad is the only way to go, because it doesn't matter. I've never placed under 4th against race ready 2-strokes with the stock 250X or 300EX I used to ride. Now with my 330R I just had to only beat one guy in the final race to win the Season Championship this year. I've beat him in every race I was able to attend, but this time he put over $6,000 (Lonestar frame, new motor, shocks etc.) just to beat me. You know what his excuse was when he finished in second place a half a lap behind me, "If my shocks were better I would have had you". You know what I say to that, stop making excusses. That just makes me laugh because I was sick the entire week, I couldn't eat anything all day, I just drove 11 hours to the race, and I didn't ride hard in the race. It doesn't matter, all the money in the world won't win you races if you can't ride. Yes I run a 330, but so does half the people at the track, and they all have way more experience than me.

My advice, Just have fun, thats the idea right. Some people just end up ruining it for themselves, even if they win, by taking it way too seriously when they shouldn't.
