deepist water

whats the deepist you have been on your rancher? i have been to the headlights in the lake. whats the deepist i can go w/o getting a snorkle. i know that one day i will be in somthing and i will hit a deep hole and it will get alot deeper. im guessing the deepist i could go would be up the the headlights?
and when i mean "deepist" i mean w/o messing any electrocics up or anything getting in the airbox.

The deepest I've ever been on my Recon is over the bars, it wouldn't run for an hour or more. A friend and I hung it from a tree with a come-along and drained the water out. Then took the plug out and cranked it over for awhile.

you can take the Rancher right up to the top of the seat. The air intake is right below the gas gauge it runs right up under the plastic. I believe the height is 32". THe Rancher is very bouyant. I've had mine even "FLOAT" for a VERY LITTLE ways while crossing some big streams (5 - 10 feet, after that your better off, getting off, she's sinking)

THe rancher essentially breathes from around the gas cap, but you can cause plenty of problems before you get that deep. Most of the breather lines are at the top of the frame, if the quad is warm and you dunk the breather tubes below water they'll draw water into every hose submerged. That's well before the engine will quit from being flooded. I've submerged my stock rancher to the top of the engine head without taking water on anywhere, but much deeper would be a problem. Fast fixes, remove the side panels and add beather hose extentions to everything and route them to near the gas cap, that'd give you about four inches deeper "safe" boating(over the seat.) converting to amphibious or below water isn't all that tough either.
