I dont know why so many people think the 250X is so much better than then EX. Just because its set up for racing with chain drive and lower a arms, the power is the same. My friend that live like 2 miles from my house has one And I just raced him the other day. Im kicked his ***. All I have is an aftermarket exhuast. And I know its not the rider, he is a much better rider than I am. But we draged raced and I beat him not only off the line but top end wise too. The only thing that is better is that they are set up for racing and have a lot of aftermarket parts for them. But The 250EX is better in so many ways if all you want is a play toy. The shaft drive is a lot more realiable and adds ground clearance. (I Know if you are experienced, clearance dont matter!). and they are automatic which is nice for beginners and easier for trail riding and climbing. If you are lazy like me then its nice. I dont like clutchs that much in tight situations. Unless you have drove a 250ex dont bash one. They are alot more peppy than you think. And stock for stock the horsepower is about the same as a mojave. But same thing there is so much you can do a mojove.
