I was just wondering how many of you guys are racers.

How long have you been racing?
What machine do you ride?
Moto cross, Cross Country, Hare Scrambles,???
What's been your biggest accomplishment thus far??

No..drag racing is not racing. It doesn't take skill to hold on to the bars for a short burst in a straight line. Just money to buy your hop ups. [My opinion on drag racing ofcourse]

I have raced motocross off and on for the last 10 years. I've gotten a few first's and numerous top 3 finishes.

I am currently running my first year at Hare Scrambles. Best finish so far is third. Still race the motocross, but I have fallen in love with the woods races. Takes alot of endurance.

I have pretty much always raced Honda's but just this weekend, I landed a sponsored ride through my dealership and Cannondale to finish the hare scramble series this year. I have an option to buy at the end of the season, and right now, I'm thinking seriously about doing just that.

My biggest accomplishment would be getting 3rd in my states championship motocross race back in '99. The 400EX's had been out for a little while and there were a few in that race. I was riding a 300EX. [Best 4 stroke available at the time] I still have a 250X I will race time to time because it's small size has been an advantage in the woods.

So, tell me about your experiences while racing and what has been your greatest achievements. It seems that lately every topic is about something being faster or a flame starter so I just wanted to get back into the norm. of things here.

I'm racing motocross this summer on my X. It'll be my first year racing. I've been practicing up there for the past 3 years on my X and CR and one day I realised that I was just as fast as some guys and faster then others so I decided to race.

I plan on racing as soon as I get myself a quad. I've been trying for a couple years to start racing, but I either didn't have a quad, or the MX track was closed because the owner didn't want to pay his insurnace. The track reopended and now I'm still trying to get a quad, but it seems as though every time I get an ounce of hope of geting a quad, something happens so I can't. For what it's worth, how exactly did you get sponsored through Cannondale? I'll PM you a couple questions if you don't mind.

I've been riding for almost 10 years, but I just started getting into racing about 2 years ago. I ride a 400ex with a 416 setup and the usual work. I've raced MX so far, but I'm gonna try a few XC races this season just to see what it's like; you know, broaden my horizon's and such.

I'll explain how I got the Cannibal for this year.

First of all, This isn't a "factory" ride. I'm not Kory Ellis by no means.

Secondly, It just had to do with luck and good results in racing this year, but more importantly, it had to do with a good relationship with Cannondale.

I won't go into any details here, but the deal is that I get to race the Cannibal for the rest of this year. At the end of the year, the Cannibal foes back to the dealer [where I am employed] and will be sold as a used model. Cannondale pays the dealer the difference between the used selling price and the dealer cost. AND, I get the option to buy the machine at the end of the season for an ammount I will not disclose.

So, as you can see, if it wasn't for the fact that I work for this guy, and if it weren't for the fact that Cannondale is serious about "getting out there",...then I wouldn't be getting to race it period.

I just hope I can hold up my end of the bargain...ride fast

well this will be my first year for racing, but my first race is the 31st of this month in maysville ky. I plan on racing harescrambles, I'm gonna race the 250EX at this one just because it has a few things done to it, whenever i get me a pipe and jets on the 400EX i am gonna retire the 250 and race the 400, if anyone on here is going to any of the harescrambles in maysville ky., let me know and maybe we can get together there and talk quads.

I have been racing cars for 13 years, but sold out and went GNCC last year. I am in love with it also. This year I will be running MX since it is close and money is tight, but I will hit 3 or 4 GNCC's, probably 10 H.S. and about 15 MX's.

I am a Honda man as well...but I am getting tired of waiting and like the looks and the concept of Cannondale. Since blowing three motors last year in GNCC..all while leading...it is hard not to be thinking of another quad. I guess I will wait and see, since I have so much money in mine, it is hard to part with it.

Good luck racing this year.

I am 18, ive been racing since i was about 5 or 6 so id say ive been racing for about 12 or 13 years. i started on a yamaha moto4 quad, moved to an lt 80, got a blaster and then jumped on the R and never got off. i race cross country or harescrambles, whatever you might call them. i race locally in ohio its called CRA and they put togather great trcks and its a whole lot of fun. but my main thing is racing GNCC. i am currently in the 250A class and am planning on going pro either this year or next depending on funds cuz im not just some rich kid who asks his parents for money to go buy a quad and a truck and all the mods he/she wants. my biggest accomplishment would be winning my first GNCC race two years ago and winning two CRA championchips. so all you sponsors out there that are looking to pick up sombody whos gonna get your name up front hit me back.
