it was awesome,It didn't feel cramped at all, I it very short from front to rear and the seat and Suspension felt great, I sat on a Yellow one but I think I am going to get red to match my XR250R riding gear that I have in red, I know I will be doing mud riding but I am going to just get the 300ex,That way I can do wheelies all day and other tricks and I don't think that I would have that much fun on a 4x4, Well I think I just ended my decision for a quad,my new one will be a 300ex, The price they had on it was the same as retail($4,799), How much would you guys pay for a new 300ex OUT THE DOOR? What should I try to negoiate the price down to? Thanks Matt,I can't wait to get it.

Dude dont get that. get a blaster. Its like 2999 msrp and is faster. The only reason i would buy a 300ex is for the reverse. and with a blaster its sooo light you just pick it up and turn it around. Id save some money about 2 grand and get a blaster. Plus you can mod it to runn with bigg dogs. also its just a bit longer than the 300ex wont feel cramped

Well now Fez, man i hate to disagree with anyone, but i disagree with that, one of my best friends has a 2001 blaster, and i can tell you what, i have a he** of alot more room on my 250EX than I do on his blaster, So i know a 300EX has more room, I am not a short fellow, 6'3 and i cant even stand to ride that blaster, but i love riding any honda it is just right, yeah i see the specs say that the Blaster is just a lil bit longer, but i see something wrong there too, because side by side my 250EX is just a tad bit longer than his blaster.

Thanks for the replys everyone, Thanks Fez but I don't want a 2-stroke, The 300ex just felt great, I "NEED REVERSE"! I know some people say that once they get there 400ex or whatever they say they don't miss reverse, Well I couldn't ride with out it, 300exlittleman:How much did you pay OUT THE DOOR for your 2002 300ex? Just how great does the 300ex wheelie and how good are they on the trails? Also do you have to use any clutch when pulling up and wheelie on the 300ex? Thanks again Matt

First of all the blaster isnt faster then a 300EX,correct me if i'm wrong. The other thing is its not all based on speed but on handeling, suspension and BRAKES WHICH THE BLASTER DOES NOT HAVE. I got a Yellow 2002 300EX and it is awesome, we paid 4,499 cause our dealership is awesome. The 300EX is great on trails and can keep up with many quads. Pulling wheelies is very easy and you dont have to pull in the clutch, just jab the throttle in 1st or 2nd and pull up. I got 200.00 of free gear when I purchased mine also. Mudding with it is O.K thats its downfall since its 2 wheel drive but it has reverse which will pull you out of alot.

I'm 6'5" and the 300 EX actually fit me nicely!! I could not believe it. I looks small, but when I went over and sat on it, my knees were below the tank and had plenty of room.
All of the Yamahas except the Raptor are way too tiny. Made for 5'7" people or something (ie read women) tee hee. The Shee, Warrior and Blaster make me look like I'm sitting on a 90.
I did not drive any of these machines since the dealers were way busy and too **** to let anyone but the staff put them in gear.
I did drive a 400 EX but that does not matter here. (Nice quad but not for me)

Abernathy's Honda, located in Union City, Tennessee, is advertising new Honda 300ex's out the door for $3799. I know that they are by far the best deal around here. I bought a CBR 929 last year for $8800 when my regular Honda dealer wanted $9600! Abernathy's phone # is 1-866-36-HONDA.
