300EX Vs. Wolverine350
#1
Lately Ive been looking at either the 300ex by Honda or the 4x4 Wolverine350 by Yamaha. and I was wondering which Quad I should get to best suit my needs. I will be going through 1-2 Ft of mud/water, I would be trail riding , Using it for hunting (hauling deer out of the woods), Fields, Woods, Hill Climbing and a Little Mx/Quad track next to my house. And keep in mind...I LOVE to go FAST and Later down the road I would like to add some Mods to my Qaud so I need to know if there are a lot of mods available for the Wolverine, (I know that there are TONS of mods for the 300ex). I heard that the tops speed of the wolveing was around 60 and the 300ex was around 55, (Correct me if i'm rong)... And also do you know the Wolveine's HP rating? The 300ex is like 16.9 HP.... And Wich Qaud would be most Reliable and Confortable? So It would be helpfull if you could help me out on my questions, to let me know wich Quad I should get. Thanx!!!!

Well the 300EX pretty much stinks in the mud, I know this from personal experience. If you plan on doing any hunting the Wolverine would be better because it comes with racks. And it is pretty sporty. Any mods you can get for a Warrior, you can probably get for the Wolverine. Since they have the same top ends. As for which one is more reliable, from what I hear the Wolverine is pretty reliable, and the 300EX is also reliable, and both are comfortable. YOu should probably get the Wolverine for the conditions you listed.

Definitely go with the Wolverine. I had a 98 until about a month ago. It does great in the mud, trails, snow, hunting, playing, etc... And...there are plenty of mods available, since the Wolverine and the Warrior have the same top end. I even dragged an elk out of the woods with mine. I think it would do just under 60 mph on the top end. After I put taller tires on it, the tope speed went up about 5 mph.

I would highly reccomend the Wolverine for the uses you listed. In fact, the Wolverine is the perfect bike for someone like you, who is tempted by sport bikes, but knows thay need a 4x4.
The Wolverine is not a perfect sport bike, nor is it the best utility bike, but it is very good at being a bit of both.

Id go with the Wolverine, the only thing the wolverine doesnt do well problly is the MX track ,but the rest of the things you want to do the wolverine will be great at. The 300EX goes 59mph i know this for sure I've talked to my dealership have tested it myself and talked to others. The Wolverine also goes 59mph i dont know that for sure but thats what ive heard. Mudding with the 300 stinks, hauling with the 300 stinks. Im not putting down the 300 cause i have one but the wolvering would be best for your needs.
